Paul Cable is a licensed Building Inspector with Jims Building Inspections.

Paul has been interested in the building industry from a young age. He grew up in the UK and first took up building work on weekends and during school holidays. After moving to Australia with family as a teen, Paul immediately enrolled at Leederville TAFE to pursue his passion in building, and completed a Bricklaying course. He completed a cert 3 in Brick and block laying and began building homes.

After working as a bricklayer for some years, Pauls passion for perfection and the housing industry led him to begin his own bricklaying business. Paul and his team built hundreds of homes across the Perth metro and worked for some of Perths high profile builders. He was even enlisted to build many of their display homes.

After moving back to the UK in 2005, Paul was working as a bricklayer on a mansion in Totteridge, common London, where his clear strengths and extensive knowledge led him to become the site supervisor and put him in charge of managing the whole job. After completing this large and gruelling project, Paul set up a small NHBC registered building company completing mainly extensions and renovations, to gain further experience in other areas of building.

Paul later returned to Australia and regrouped his bricklaying team. His business at times was utilising up to 30 contractors on various multi unit sites and larger homes.

In 2016 Paul decided to once again strengthen his knowledge and further his career in the building industry, and completed his Diploma in Building and Construction. Paul is now one of Perths registered building practitioners (BP103305) and his knowledge of the building industry is incomparable.

After helping guide his eldest daughter through building her first home in 2017, Paul is passionate about safely guiding people through what could arguably be one of the biggest decisions of their life – home ownership. Since becoming a Building inspector with Jims, Paul has completed courses in Asbestos inspections, Termite inspections and Meth inspections. Pauls wealth of knowledge in the building industry is a true asset.
